Summer Writing Institute

Transitioning to high school can be difficult, but we have created a 4-class institute that teaches your rising 9th grader all they need to know.

 Summer writing class:

Your student will learn the following: 

  • How to critically read a text

  • How to brainstorm writing ideas 

  • How to structure a paragraph 

  • How to use MLA formatting correctly

After each session, the instructor will provide personalized feedback to the student to tailor this institute to their needs.  By the end of the institute, your rising 9th grader will have a portfolio of resources to refer to throughout high school.
